- Do not touch or rub the treated area to prevent the filler from moving.
- Avoid sun exposure for at least 2 weeks to prevent hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption for at least 2 weeks to promote healing.
- Inform your dentist of your cheek augmentation before any dental procedures to avoid complications.
CHEEK FILLERS: THE DR. GUJJAR DIFFERENCE
“Thicker” fillers, such as Juvederm Voluma offer a substantial volume increase or noticeable lifting in areas that tend to fall or droop as we age, such as the cheeks. To achieve optimal improvements, Dr. Gujjar visualizes a line from the corner of the lip to the ear, which he uses as a guide. Dr. Gujjar then injects the carefully selected filler under the cheek pad (where we all tend to lose height).
He uses a specialized layering technique that involves deep injections along the cheekbone to give lift and lateral contour. He follows the initial injections with superficial injections in the fat and skin layer to soften the nasolabial folds, shape the under eye, and improve the area around the eye and eyebrow. Dr. Gujjar is meticulous about understanding each patient’s goals and injecting each filler strategically without making the patient appear unnatural or “overdone.”
