WHAT IS THREADS?
A more youthful appearance starts with the face, but not everyone is a candidate or has the downtime or desire for a surgical facelift or neck lift. A thread lift can be an excellent alternative to cosmetic surgery for patients who want to tighten the cheeks, lower face, jowls, and neck area.
In the hands of an expert like Dr. Gujjar, Threads can be strategically placed to create subdermal “scaffolding” that provides support for facial tissue. Dr.Gujjar can also perform this procedure to gently lift tissue and reposition the skin to restore aesthetic contours.

HOW DOES THREADS WORK?
PREPARATION
Dr. Gujjar begins each Threads procedure by identifying, marking, and applying topical anaesthetic to the desired treatment areas. He then selects the right threads for your procedure. Threads can be smooth, twisted, or barbed. Each type is used to achieve different results. Some Threads come preloaded on fine needles. Others are manually threaded through the interstitial tissue, parallel to the surface of the skin, using a cannula. Dr. Gujjar will carefully select the best method to precisely target your cosmetic concerns.
PROCEDURE
Smooth threads that are preloaded on baby-fine needles work to improve the texture of the skin and fine crepey skin such as around the mouth, under eyes, on the lips or neck, and on the elbows and knees. These do not lift the tissue, instead they create a structure that supports the skin and promotes gradual tightening over time through long-term collagen production. Threads are threaded horizontally through the dermis, allowing Dr. GUJJAR gently manipulate the skin to create a smoother, tauter appearance.
TIME
Over the course of a few months, the sutures dissolve and stimulate collagen production, which lifts and repairs the skin, creates additional volume, and reduces the appearance of scars, fine lines, wrinkles, folds, and indentations.

Threads are an excellent option for treating a wide range of acne scarring. After performing a laser treatment to address redness, Dr. Gujjar uses smooth Threads made from a very fine, thread-like material and applies them using thin needles.
